On Friday night 11th March, the Realm Hotel stepped back in time to the diverse, psychedelic, disco era of the 70’s. Never have there been so many mini dresses, maxi dresses, platform shoes, bell bottom flares, tight shiny disco pants and rose coloured glasses, looking so sensational and sported so devotedly.

Reinforcing the 70’s values of peace, love and flower power the Starlight Children’s Foundation held their annual Star Ball in spectacular style. As a silver sponsor of this fantastic event, Dataflex was proud to donate their corporate suite at Acer Arena for the performance of Cirque Du Soleil – Saltimbanco. At auction this raised a huge $12,000 for the Starlight Children’s Foundation; this will assist with the much needed and ongoing support provided to young people affected by serious illness and their families in this stressful time.

With the overwhelming local Canberra support, the event was a huge success as it has been since it was founded six years ago, raising in total a whopping $220,000.
