CommandHub Appoints Master Distributors in Australia and the USA

Melbourne, Vic, Friday 1st March, 2013 – Melbourne-based security technology firm,CommandHub, has appointed master distributors in its two major markets, Australia and the United States, in a move that will allow the company to concentrate its resources on R&D in order to stay ahead of the ever-growing threat of internet and mobile device break-ins.

Dataflex, a highly respected IT services company with offices in Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, will market and support the CommandHub and CommandVault products throughout Australasia to spearhead its drive into IT security, while Cyberacity, a Washington, DC-based cyber security solutions firm, will market the CommandHub and CommandVault products and services throughout the United States.

“The move to create master distributors couldn’t have come at a better time.” Says CommandHub’s CEO, Mr Richard Cousins, who is also the founding chairman of the Australian Internet Industry Association (IIA) and now chairman of Cyberacity.

“The growing realization of the vulnerability of sensitive corporate, government and personal data is being driven by the increasing number of penetrations and data leakage incidents, and the fundamental change being driven by the advent of mobile tablet technology and their inherent lack of security.” he said.

“As a leading provider of secure solutions, we really have to devote our time to staying ahead of the bad guys and we will now rely on the excellent sales, marketing and support teams of Dataflex and Cyberacity to keep our customers ahead of the pack on two continents.”

“The theft of intellectual property is an immediate, real-time threat in the expanding, increasingly mobile business world. Dataflex prides itself on being well-informed about products and solutions at the cutting edge of technology and security and choosing only those that will truly benefit our customers. We are excited to add CommandHub and CommandVault to our security practice.” Said Patrick Cheetham, Managing Director of Dataflex.

About CommandHub:

CommandHub is an innovative Melbourne-based technology company that has developed and patented hyper-secure products – including the much lauded iFortress app for iPhones and iPads – for delivering and sharing highly sensitive corporate and government documents over the Internet and on mobile devices. The company is a pioneer of Mobile Process Management (MPM), a solution that takes Mobile Device Management (MDM) to the next level.

About Dataflex:

Dataflex is an award-winning Australian Information Technology (IT) service provider that has supplied IT design and provision and support services – including helpdesks, networks, storage, voice communications, disaster recovery, backup arrangements and cloud computing implementations – for over two decades. Dataflex is a solution provider to the government and education sectors and is Bureau Veritas certified, with quality management systems verified to the AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008 standard.

About Cyberacity:

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT OF “MOVIE MAYHEM”

It is support from businesses and the local community that makes this type of fund-raiser a success and provides the opportunity for these less fortunate special needs children to enjoy a special day out at the cinemas.

Your sponsorship of a child or group of children to this event will benefit our community in two different ways.

Firstly and most importantly, each ticket purchased and donated through your generosity, will guarantee that a special needs or disadvantaged child will enjoy a very special day. This outing is an event that they might never have had the opportunity to attend without your help.

Secondly, proceeds will help raise urgently needed funds to support families who have children that suffer from rare genetic disorders.

Once again thank you for your support in helping to make this a successful and worthwhile community project.

Yours Sincerely,

Adam Palmer
President

Dear Kate and Chris

“Spike” the Dataflex surfboat travelled to Newcastle to compete at the Australian Surfboat open on Stockton beach over the weekend. A moving billboard for all to see.

Four strong and fit Canberra rowers (Annie, Pip, Kat and Vikki) arrived safely and were keen to do well. 81 opens women’s crews entered and over 250 crews in total ventured to Stockton

The surf was large and around 2metres in our racing area and this caused many crashes, spills and upsets as the boats negotiated in and out through the surf. Great for the spectators.

The racing consisted of a three round robin series for points and the top 15 qualify for the next stage elimination races.

The first round robin saw the girls lead for the whole race after crashing through a large wave first on the sandbar, rowed very well and crossed the line in fine style on a smaller wave.

Round two saw the girls battle the large surf again to be in the top three at the turning buoys and crossed the line in the same mix on a nice wave to be allocated 3rd in that race.

The third round saw massive waves heading to the beach as the race started. All crews took on water as the large waves crashed in front of them. The race included the world championship crew Mooloolaba and last years’ Australian champions South Curl Curl. The girls battled the large surf on the way in but were given 5th on the line.

With 23 points and only 8 points behind the leaders “Spike” and the girls qualified for the elimination races stage.

In the first elimination race the girls found the surf tough but still turned the buoys in 3rd spot with 4th right behind them. Only three of the 6 crews would qualify to the quarterfinal stage. A medium wave appeared behind the 4th crew and then we caught it as well. It would become a sprint to the line with both boats on the same wave. Unfortunately the girls could not get far enough in front of the wave to come third. Their ASRL championship dreams were over for this year.

The girls went training to improve themselves for the next championship event in April 2013, when they did two more races outside of the racing area for practice.

It was a very enjoyable weekend for surfboat racing and Spike the Dataflex surfboat preformed beautifully in the surf and the girls are gaining confidence in racing in large surf each time they go.

Thanks for your support and help.

Regards

Gary Pettigrove
Chief Information Officer | Corporate Management Branch

Dataflex celebrates its 25 year anniversary.

The Eastlake Cricket Club was founded in 1922 and its ninety year history makes it the foundation club in the ACT Cricket competition.

The Eastlake Cricket Club headquartered at Kingston Oval is an established sporting icon of the South Canberra Community.

“We are delighted to have Dataflex as a major sponsor as we share many ideals both in the area of business and sport.

Dataflex are winners and successful in the business community. The Eastlake Cricket Club similarly strive to achieve the best results on the field.” says Eastlake Senior Club President, Tim Broue.

“The Eastlake Juniors have more than 250 playing members with teams competing in the under 9 age group to under 15’s.

As a direct result of the Dataflex sponsorship Eastlake Juniors are offered coaching scholarships and financial assistance for players who are selected for National and State Cricket Tournaments.

The sponsorships from Brian Evans and his team at Dataflex has provided funding for our junior cricketers to attend elite training camps and also with Dataflex’s assistance we have been able to offset a large part of the costs for our players who have been selected in representative teams.

This season eight players from the Eastlake Club have been selected to represent the ACT in various State and National Carnivals and each of these children have benefited from the generosity of Dataflex’s sponsorship.

Dataflex’s sponsorship has also allowed the Eastlake Junior Cricket Club to provide branded game day clothing to all of our junior cricketers and we are all very proud to have the support of a great organisation like Dataflex.” says Bruce Adams, Eastlake Junior Cricket Club President.

According to Brian Evans, Dataflex CEO/Chairman, the decision to sponsor Eastlake Cricket Club was a perfect match with the Dataflex philosophy.

“ I was so impressed with the way that the Eastlake Cricket Club offered so many opportunities for so many aspiring young cricketers.

The club provides more to the children than just a game of Cricket.

It was overwhelming for me to see the commitment, compassion and spirit at the Eastlake Cricket Club and if Dataflex’s financial support helps the club grow in these areas then I’m a very happy man and the game of Cricket is the winner.”
