Today, Dataflex announces a five-year cash sponsorship of the Broulee Surfers Surf Life Saving Club (BSSLSC) and the Broulee Women’s Surf Boat crew

“ We are supporting the club, not just to support women’s sport, but also to support this club’s phenomenal commitment to the public safety of the beaches on and around Broulee, says Dataflex Managing Director, Brian Evans.

“ I am a Canberra resident, who’s been going to Broulee since 1975. Broulee is one of the only patrolled beaches in the area.

“ This is a great opportunity to show support for the BSSLSC community that have showed our community support.

“ We have always wanted to make sure that the success of Dataflex is measured by more than profit and we support our local community where we can.

The Broulee Surfers Surf Life Saving Club patrols the beaches in its area from October through to April; providing safe swimming conditions for those who use them.

During last season, Broulee Surfers SLSC saved many lives, handled over 100 injuries and took preventative action in over 400 situations.

The residents of Canberra & its surrounds are an increasing population within the Broulee Surfers SLSC community and are actively involved in weekend patrols; supporting the swimming and surfing public.

The Broulee SLSC is currently undertaking a major Clubhouse expansion. Proceeds from fundraising and sponsorship – such as that given by Dataflex – will not only provide for its ever-growing member population, but also allow the club to purchase essential equipment for surf lifesaving.
